A couple of weeks ago, on a cold, awful evening down by the beach in Crosby, 16 terrified cats were dumped in a car park. No carriers, no food, no protection… just huddled together, confused and too afraid to move. One incredible lady found them, and along with her sister, refused to leave them there. They managed to safely get 11 of the cats into their car and home to safety while contacting us, and other volunteers raced to the scene. Those initial 11 were then taken in between ourselves, @bootehomeforcats @alleycatsandkittens @carlalaneanimalsinneed and volunteers from the FB group Moggies & Doggies – rescues who immediately came together without hesitation when the call for help went out.Since then, volunteers have been back almost every single day and night, leaving food, shelter, and trying tirelessly to trap the remaining five. Two were found close to the site by kind members of the public who realised they needed help and scooped them up and they have been collected. Thanks to everyone’s dedication, only one cat now remains untrapped, and we will not give up until every single one is safe. The cats’ health and condition when found was heartbreaking. Many were severely underweight, filthy, and suffering from untreated illnesses. Some are now being treated for long-term issues linked to inbreeding, including sight problems and other ongoing needs. Despite this, they are finally warm, cared for, and starting to show trust again. Their recovery so far has been nothing short of miraculous. 💕We have been working closely with the RSPCA. While we can’t share details, we are coordinating with them fully as part of the ongoing investigation. These cats were failed in the worst way imaginable — but they have been met with the best of humanity since. The rescues caring for them now face vet bills, long-term treatment plans, and months of rehabilitation ahead. If you can support in any way, sharing this post, donating (link in bio), fostering, or simply spreading awareness, it truly makes a difference. Together, we are changing the ending of their story.💜 … See MoreSee Less
💜Scamp and Squeak are still looking for their forever home and it’s not looking like they’re not going to get their wish of a forever home before the Christmas period 😿They are great with children and are super inquisitive and tolerant of the resident dog (who just wants to get into their room to steal their food 😂)They have lived in foster care since they were 5 days old in the summer so we really would love for them to be adopted. They are such a fun, loveable pair of mischief makers. If you’re interested, drop us a DM with your postcode and contact number 💜 … See MoreSee Less
